Celebrating 15 Years of APEX Career Services: Why I Started This Business and What I’ve Learned Along the Way

On June 22, 2026, APEX Career Services celebrates an important milestone: 15 years in business.

When I launched APEX Career Services in 2011, I could not have imagined the journey ahead. Like many entrepreneurs, I started with a vision, determination, and a desire to create something meaningful.

My decision to start the business was deeply personal.

After many years working in corporate America, I became increasingly frustrated by workplace realities that often overlooked talented individuals, limited opportunities, and left people questioning their value and potential. I saw highly capable professionals struggle to advance, not because they lacked talent, but because they lacked advocacy, visibility, strategy, or access to the right opportunities.

I knew there had to be a better way.

I wanted to take control of my own professional future while creating a business dedicated to helping others navigate theirs.

From the beginning, my mission was simple: help people recognize their value, communicate their strengths, and pursue opportunities that align with their goals and potential.

Over the past 15 years, I have had the privilege of working with thousands of professionals, executives, emerging leaders, career changers, and organizations throughout the United States and around the world.

Together, we have celebrated promotions, leadership appointments, successful career transitions, salary increases, interview wins, and countless new beginnings.

What has always made this work meaningful is that every resume, coaching session, LinkedIn profile, interview preparation session, leadership consultation, or career strategy discussion represents a person working toward something important. Behind every career transition is a story, a goal, a family, and a future.

Over the years, APEX Career Services has evolved to meet the changing needs of today’s workforce. What began primarily as a resume writing and career coaching practice has grown to include executive career strategy, leadership positioning, executive coaching, organizational consulting, professional development, and outplacement services.

While the services have expanded, the mission has remained the same: helping people move forward with confidence, clarity, and purpose.

One of the greatest lessons I have learned as a business owner is that success is never achieved alone.

I am grateful for every client who trusted me during an important moment in their career. I am thankful for the referral partners, colleagues, employers, organizations, and supporters who have contributed to the growth of APEX Career Services over the years.
